Frazier v. Cupp 394 U.S. 731 (1969)When I was growing up, I was told that cops were the “good guys.” They may have given me some attitude at different times, but I didn’t see them as a problem as long as I wasn’t doing anything illegal.
That time is gone.
Even for die-hard Republicans who have long been #BackTheBlue, the shooting in Uvalde TX, with cops waiting outside for an hour while kids inside were getting shot is the straw that broke the camel’s proverbial back.
Die hard Greg Abbot supporters are demanding a pound of political flesh, and I hate to be the one to say this, but even if that pound of flesh materializes, and Beta O’Rourke wins the Governorship, the situation will not change.
Oh, they’ll make all sorts of promises and assurances, and issue apologies, but the truth is, the system is designed to plunder the populace. A good read I can recommend wholeheartedly is The Law, by Frederic Bastiat. (Free online.)
Bastiat says the nature of the law is to plunder, and that is the truth.
I wrote recently about how the SCOTUS has really hamstrung the public for years with rulings that are not only unconstitutional, but damn tyrannical.
Frazier v. Cupp 394 U.S. 731 (1969) gives law enforcement the right to lie, and they use it… Here’s an example of a cop saying that he can lie (as he was trained he could do.)
He says: “I can lie right now.” And that’s exactly what he does.
Then there is the matter that is coming to light, that cops are pre-disposed to care more about their paycheck and life preservation than your rights, or your kids’ rights.
The Uvalde shooting saw the thin blue line turn into a sea of blood, the blood of mostly children, and the rage felt by the parents is palpable and deserved.
Cops pussed out. Let me point out that this is also why they have police dogs. They send in the dogs (evidently not when children are also involved) to do work that they are afraid to do. It’s cheaper to bury a dog than to pay out death benefits or retirement to an injured officer.
The ridiculousness of funerals at the level of royalty for officers slain on the job, when they (at will) refuse to run into the face of danger, AS IS THEIR SCOTUS-DETERMINED right. I lay all of this out in this linked article.
Here’s a cop admitting that she sells her conscience for a paycheck.
This should not frighten you, it should embolden you. It should let you know that when the time comes, as it quickly approaches, your neighbor down the street that works for the local Sheriff, or your “friend” at the golf club that is DHS or some other federal agency, or Steve next door that is on deployment, will, without a moment’s notice, follow orders and force your compliance with whatever they deem necessary, or, arrest or kill you. If you can’t see that day coming, you are as blind as fuck.
Blue Egos Matter
Blue Paychecks Matter
You, and your kids lives? They don’t matter at all to the Blue Line.
